DESCRIPTION:Midday walk around a Community Garden close to the junction\nbetween Brixton Road and Caldwell Street in Kennington. This city-centre gem of a\ncommunity flower garden\, created and maintained for a number of years by local people\, is\nhidden away amongst the flats and high-density housing of Kennington. From late morning\non wards in July and August\, it teems with butterflies\, bees\, dragonflies\, other insects and\nbirds. Macro and long lenses both useful. Not so easy to find parking spaces\, but excellent\ntransport links by bus\, train and tube (Northern Line). Meet at the junction of Brixton Rd\nand Caldwell Street at 12.00 midday.

It’s just a photo from the shoulders up\, right? \nNick Gregan has no qualifications\, no formal training\, no membership of any photographic bodies and has never won an award or entered a competition. \nBut he has been an expert headshot photographer for almost 30 years. \nIn that time he has photographed everyone from actors\, authors\, comedians\, sports stars and politicians right through to entrepreneurs\, local business people\, models\, child performers and just about everyone in between. \nThe power of the headshot takes you through the creative process and explains why not just  anyone can take the right headshot for the right market. \nHe also runs workshops which I will send details around shortly.

DESCRIPTION:Note. Rearranged from feb 5th. \nMulti award-winning photographer Ann Healey will be presenting her talk ‘Wildlife of Costa Rica’. \nAnn has spent the last 15 years gaining her distinctions and accreditations\, to achieve photographic excellence. \nShe had two images shortlisted in the 2021 Close-up Photographer of the Year and in 2022\, was shortlisted in the British Wildlife Photography Awards. \nShe is also one of a select 60 photographers to have a print accepted in the prestigious Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) Masters of Print in 2020\, 2021 and 2024\, winning a Silver Medal for a Judge’s Choice in 2021 and 2024. \nAnn is also an assessor on the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) Natural History Associate & Fellowship Panel. \nAnn is an Honorary Member of Richmond & Twickenham Photographic Society\, having held the \nposts of Honorary Secretary\, Programme Secretary\, Internal Competitions Organiser\, External \nCompetitions Organiser\, Forum Administrator and Leader of the Awards & Distinctions Special \nInterest Group over the years and\, more recently\, also joined Molesey Photographic Club\, where she \nis part of the External Competitions Selection Group. \nA former President of the Surrey Photographic Association (SPA)\, Ann is now the Chair of the SPA \nExhibitions & Events Sub-Committee\, organising the Biennial Exhibition and all Inter-Club \nCompetitions and events. \nAnn is renowned for her nature photography and club members will be treated to a plethora of photographs\, showing many different species\, showcasing the diverse and extensive range of amazing wildlife to be found in the various ecosystems of the country. \nHaving achieved both her RPS Natural History Associateship and Fellowship with images of Costa Rican wildlife\, these print panels will be on display on the night\, for attendees to view.
