Members Advice

BPS tries to encourage newer or less experienced members to improve their photographic skills in a number of ways, including competitions, skills evenings and occasional improvement sessions, normally held over zoom, as and when requested by enough members.

All members are encouraged to pick the brains of the more experienced members during off periods, such as tea breaks or outside of meetings.

Additionally, a number of Advanced Class members have volunteered to provide photographic advice to  BPS member. The list of volunteers below identifies areas of photography where they are particularly happy to assist. If you would like constructive critique of your images, have a technical query or just want general guidance, feel free to contact a volunteer. The BPS Secretary will provide contact details if required. Hopefully everyone will be able to keep to response times of no more than a week or two.

Volunteers – if for whatever reason you are unable to respond to a request within a reasonable timescale, please let the member know so that they can choose another volunteer.

Only one hard and fast rule – do not share volunteers’ email addresses with any third party.
