Photography and Fraternity

Beckenham Photographic Society has developed a thriving relationship with Image’in Perigny, a club based in Perigny, a suburb of La Rochelle on the west coast of France.

The relationship began in 2016 when Image’in Perigny, a flourishing photographic club with around 70 members, suggested a link with BPS.  Roger and Angela Ford who are members of both clubs organised an exchange of images as a starting point.  The aim was to explore each other’s styles and techniques and to share comments.

Since then the relationship has gone from strength to strength.

Each year we exchange images on a theme chosen by each club in alternate years, for this year, the theme chosen is Frontiers (or Borders)

The friendship between the two clubs gives members the opportunity to visit France and meet other photographers and exchange ideas as well as the chance to appreciate a different style of photography.

Liaison with Image ‘in Perigny is organised from the UK by Angela and Roger Ford and from France by Didier Von Tillman and Estelle Ducept.
